General Information & Accommodation
A welcome note
From the SMPS 2025 Organizers
Modern DNA sequencing technologies have revolutionized genomics and biomedical research, but extending these techniques to routine analysis of the human proteome, particularly at the single-protein level, remains a global challenge. A highly sensitive sequencing technology, ideally addressing proteins at the single-molecule level, will create the opportunity for single-cell proteomics and real-time screening for on-site medical diagnostics, and will pave the road towards the development of a new, fast, and reliable diagnostic tool for healthcare.
Following the successful three editions of the conference “Single protein sequencing”, we are pleased to announce our fourth meeting on this topic to be held in Bolzano, Italy. (January 18-24, 2025)
Topics:
Advanced Microscopy Techniques
Proteins Labelling Strategies
Frontiers in Mass-Spectrometry Sequencing
Protein Fingerprinting Approaches
Nanopore Sensing of Proteins
Single Molecule Fluorescence and FRET
Engineered Protein Nanopores
Plasmonic Nanostructures for Proteome Biosensing
How to get to NOI Techpark Bozen-Bolzano
The NOI Techpark is South Tyrol’s growing innovation hub, thriving on the grounds of a former aluminium factory. Here companies, startups, research institutes and the university work together to achieve sustainable development.
